The Nicklaus Golf Club is a private club offering its Members, families and guests the finest golf, recreational, social and business entertaining lifestyles. With the Club centered on the Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, Members enjoy camaraderie, impeccable service and pride in belonging.
The 18-hole championship course is accompanied by a 21,000 square-foot clubhouse including full men's and ladies' locker rooms, golf pro shop, fine dining and grill rooms.
"If someone told me I could only play one golf course for the rest of my life, and it was Nicklaus Golf Club, I would be perfectly content with that." Senior Design Associate for Nicklaus Design, Chris Cochran.
A club is not only the bricks and mortar of the clubhouse, the grass and trees among the golf course, but a "Haven of Refuge" for its Members. Tradition, Heritage and Pride all come to mind when thinking about a Club. The Nicklaus Golf Club has been founded with those values in mind.
The Club was honored to welcome the Web.com Tour's Midwest Classic golfers, and proud that this well-known and dynamic caravan again chose LionsGate, a classic Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, as their green.
On his website, the course's designer and golfing giant Jack Nicklaus said LionsGate is "outstanding for several reasons, including its beautiful views, rolling fairways and capability to challenge both the amateur and seasoned golfer. The course's appeal to a wide range of golfers is due in part to the four sets of tees used to vary the distance and angle to the green."
The KC Classic is one of 26 tournaments played worldwide on the Web.com Tour, an organization owned and operated by the PGA TOUR and serves as a springboard for some of the world's most decorated and renowned golfers. When the PGA comes to Kansas City, they come to Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate.
